FTTX isend user connects to the office device through optical fibers.According To The degree of Fiber penetration into the user, fiber access can be divided into FTTB /FTTP/FTTH FTTZ,FTTC, etc.Optical fiber is one of the most ideal transmission media in broadband network, it is characterized by large transmission capacity, good transmission quality, small loss, long relay distance and so on.

According To The distance between the optical Fiber and the user, it can be divided into the optical fiber to the Cabinet (Fiber To The Cabinet; FTTCab), Fiber To The Curb (Fiber To The Curb; FTTC), Fiber To The Building (Fiber To The Building; FTTB) and Fiber To The Home; FTTH) and other 4 service forms. Verizon, an American operator, calls FTTB and FTTH together Fiber To The Premise; FTTP). The above services may be collectively referred to as FTTx.(Remark: reference following picture)
